Introduction:
Nandrolone decanoate, also known as Deca-Durabolin, is a pharmaceutically produced version of the naturally occurring steroid hormone nandrolone (19-nortestosterone), and is manufactured by a number of drug companies. Nandrolone strongly resembles the molecular structure of the hormone testosterone, and produces a number of similar anabolic effects. Nandrolone increases muscle mass, promotes bone density and stimulates appetite. It differs from testosterone by having weak androgenic properties (ability to cause masculine characteristics).
Application:
Deca Durabolin has the potential to improve bone density and muscle growth. Use of this steroid for a period of six to eight weeks is associated with a dramatic increase in the production of red blood cells and curing joint problems experienced by some athletes during intense workouts. This steroid is generally used during mass gain or dieting phases and is one of the very few steroids that can be used in both the off-season and before a professional contest.
Deca may also be used to dramatically improve protein synthesis, nitrogen retention, performance, and endurance. It may even be used by some as a progestin-based contraceptive. This anabolic compound is easy on the liver and is rarely associated with hair loss, skin irritation, and acne. Deca is also an anabolic compound that one can associate with significant improvements in terms of recuperation time between intense workouts and masking minor joint pain and old nagging injuries.
RECOMMENDED DOSAGES:
Deca Durabolin is commonly used in the range of 200 – 600 mg/week. Going past 600mg is not really advised (of course there are always going to be reports of bodybuilders hitting 800mg/week).
Most male athletes experience good results by taking 400mg/week and, if large gains in muscle mass is the primary goal then stacking with Dianabol and Testosterone is advised.
For female athletes 50-100mg/week is the commonly used dose and this is often combined with Winstrol tablets or Primobolan tablets.
In conclusion, Deca Durabolin is often used where problems with testosterone use have been encountered. It is less prone to aromatization and is deemed to produce an overall sense of well being.
